_. In 1999 “Medecins Sans Frontieres” were nominated for the Nobel peace prize for their worldwide emergency aid work in troubled regions. Comprehensive reports of their work appear in their donator’s magazine “Akut”, as well as various other publications. The mode of operation and priorities of this humanitarian organization are reflected in their new corporate design, which confronts viewers with a clear and direct approach towards the harsh reality of the places in which they work. Authenticity is further provided by the print medium, through the layout and the specifically developed typeface. In 2008, Moniteurs was selected for a CDP Award for the “Ärzte ohne Grenzen” corporate design, now also in use in countries outside Germany.
