Tropical Island
Orientation System

“Holiday in the tropics” promises the theme park Tropical Islands, approximately 60 kilometres south of Berlin – in the midst of an indoor rainforest, Tropical Islands offers waterscapes, saunas and spas with restaurants, shops, shows and other entertainment. For the opening in 2004, Moniteurs designed a suitably thematic and playfully colourful orientation system, incorporating exotic materials and shapes. The information is digitally printed onto fabric and stretched with ropes between bamboo poles. A colour system distinguishes between the different areas of the 66,000 square metre theme park. Suitable graphic elements and a specially developed pictogram family reinforce the tropical impression even further.

In the car park, flags show the visitors which section they have parked in.
