Carl­swerk is an in­dus­trial com­plex with a one hun­dred year his­tory, and at ap­prox­i­mately 126,000m², the largest ur­ban in­dus­trial cam­pus in Cologne. Cul­tural in­sti­tu­tions, restau­rants, of­fices and pro­duc­tion fa­cil­i­ties have made the for­mer in­dus­trial site their home, turn­ing it into a vi­brant, lively city quar­ter. Moni­teurs de­signed the Carl­swerk brand and the ori­en­ta­tion sys­tem for the lo­ca­tion. Im­age: BEOS
