Volkspark Potsdam

Orientation System Exterior

For the competition “Orientation System Volkspark Potsdam”, Moniteurs developed a system that opens up the park and its attractions to the visitor. The proposal distinguishes itself from the conventional signs normally seen around a city. The orientation system should be clear and modern and not merely functional: large panels at the entrance, positioned so they are easy to see, but adjusted so that they do not obstruct the lines of sight in the park; within the park, as few signposts as possible, quickly understandable, that provide a clear overview of the park. Shown here is the design of a ground plan for the competition.
