The high al­ti­tude clinic in Davos is a treat­ment cen­tre as well as an al­lergy re­search and clinic cam­pus. The spe­cial­ist hos­pi­tal and re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion clinic has an ex­cel­lent rep­u­ta­tion for the treat­ment of al­ler­gies, res­pi­ra­tory dis­eases and dis­eases of the lungs, skin and eyes. In 2007, Moni­teurs cre­ated the cor­po­rate de­sign – with a re­design of he logo and a brochure con­cept for pub­li­ca­tions for en­tirely dif­fer­ent tar­get groups.

An ex­ten­sion of the build­ing wayfind­ing sys­tem was re­quired for Char­ité’s core ren­o­vated and com­pletely mod­ernised Bet­ten­haus and the con­struc­tion of a new build­ing for surg­eries, and in­ten­sive care and emer­gency ser­vices. At first Moni­teurs was com­mis­sioned to un­der­take an analy­sis. This was fol­lowed by de­vel­op­ing the fa­cade mark­ing of the new emer­gency ser­vices build­ing, the de­vel­op­ment of a com­plete new fam­ily of pic­tograms, the vi­sual guid­ance el­e­ments in the build­ing’s lobby as well as the el­e­va­tor rooms of the 21 floors of the high-rise Bet­ten­haus. The scope of works also in­cluded large-area wall ap­pli­ca­tions for the lobby and wait­ing area.

The Ober­lin Clinic in Pots­dam is the biggest or­thopaedic clinic in Bran­den­burg. The clin­ic’s four build­ings, with a day clinic and out­pa­tient surgery, re­ceive a high vol­ume of pa­tients, with a cor­re­spond­ingly high need for ori­en­ta­tion. Moni­teurs re­vised the in­for­ma­tion struc­ture from the ground up, and re­designed the ori­en­ta­tion sys­tem to main­tain the ex­ist­ing sup­port sys­tem. Vis­i­tors pass through the three main lifts in red and are led to the dif­fer­ent build­ings. A map con­tain­ing only the rel­e­vant ori­en­ta­tion in­for­ma­tion sup­ports vis­i­tors’ spa­tial imag­i­na­tion and makes clear where the pas­sages be­tween the build­ings are. On the lifts them­selves are signs to re­as­sure vis­i­tors that they are on the right path.
