Good orientation improves the airport experience

Structural extensions, new pathways and increasing information density require the gradual optimization of the guidance and orientation system, which has a long tradition at Zurich Airport. The streams of visitors at Zurich Airport are complex, as the different source and destination points at different levels create a particularly large number of pathways.

For the reconstruction of the check-in hall 1, Moniteurs developed a new passenger guidance for the self-service offers in the form of infographics, on which the touchpoints are explained to the passenger step by step. In the course of this, all sign locations in the check-in hall 1 were checked. Dynamic signposts were provided at the digital FIDS display. The new pictogram motifs designed by Moniteurs, as an extension of the pictogram family, are now used at this central decision point on dynamic signposts below the digital departure board.

Under the large FIDS display there are digital displays for information and route guidance.
