Touch Panel User Interface Design

In addition to the orientation systems, Moniteurs developed interfaces for touch panels to control media and room technics in the new Innovation Center at the Merck Campus. These control systems were mounted in meeting rooms and co-working spaces, as well in the restaurant, and had to fulfil different needs and requirements, for instance to control the music in the restaurant or to start a presentation in one of the meeting rooms.

Touch Panel Design for
room and media control
in the Innovation Center

Panels to control the comprehensive media technics in the conference rooms.

Design elements of the orientation system were adapted in the touch panels. The interface, e.g., of light and shutter controls are similar in the different types of rooms, so that employees can find familiar user interfaces in the whole building.

Heterogenous hardware setups and equipment in the different rooms urged for flexible UI-components to get in place compound and implemented by the company macon or Sauter.
